Not only childless, but I was single at the time. And it wasn’t even a desirable minivan , either. It was a 200 5 SWB Caravan with a 4-cylinder.

Probably not.  Fun fact - - I once let a woman drive my SC2 and she was actually impressed.  Her car was a VW Fox - both were manuals.  The Saturn was quicker and handled better.

Back in the 90's I had a coworker whose dream car was the Saturn SC. I never gave him crap for it or anything, but I didn’t understand why.

Full disclosure, my own likes are plenty suspect.

Yeah that context is important.

Truth is, it was a fun, light, tossable car *given the era*.  But also super rattly and with a raucous engine.

It was light, handled decent, and had a pretty decent manual transmission.

It also rattled a lot - both the body and the unrefined engine.  I have some weird tastes too, but I can’t imagine that being a ‘dream car’.
